MY IMPRESSIONS ON THE 4th FAEPA (INFORMAL REPORT # 1)

soon as possible, because time is short, I'm sick and dead tired, not preached in the eye tonight of a workshop and a certificate of 30h). This is the strain of events that, while not free, I must participate, not only by the certificate so appealing (in fact, have already accumulated ACC 98H) but by the very nature of the event: art and culture with film screenings (long and short, including local production), rather than those promising talks stupefying we are accustomed to (?), workshops, debates by involving the participation of actor (s) of the movie Tariff (fancy huh?). I enrolled in the workshop of
(pseudo) briefly. At the opening this morning, the event has already proven itself, fulfilling almost every detail with the expected, earning praise, smiles satisfaçãoe enhanced minds - and therefore much more promising, which we will have the chance to prove Saturday night. We heard a lecture by Claudia Vasconcelos, Federal University of Bahia, on the subject (topic / subject of their research dissertation, if I remember correctly) "Being so Bahia: the place of the frontiersman in shaping identity Bahia. " Particularly, the wedge issue of identity baianidade x frontiersman is a subject which I call special attention, as emphatically as I understand many do not recognize themselves as Bahian hinterland, and as Savior and Reconcavo region monopolize an iconic image of Bahian culture reinforced by stereotypes such as the famous Bahian acarajé, the clerk of the board of candy, hot mulatto, music and joyful people above any predisposition to sadness . The speaker emphasized how the centuries of colonial oppression and the science of time proving the inferiority of black and mixed race in general - now obsolete theories, of course - led to prejudices and stereotypical images of Serta , which persist to this day, and that this creation-redemption-spread baianidade a supposedly inherent in Bahia was a kind of defense against it [the prejudices above], as well as a form of economic return to the good graces (just check how this self-publicity worked through tourism of Salvador, Bahia, while the interior has been overlooked in its rich human and cultural). Here could talk for hours about our identity hinterlands, I personally am very proud to bully (I identify more with a frontiersman than a baianidade african-Brazilian, indeed, perhaps because the northern Bahia we're even influenced by the country culture and Pernambuco, Specifically, I am reminded of birth Pernambuco).
later watched the film
, John Hawk, accompanied by the distinguished presence of one of Hollywood's long, Fernanda Beling. Here we had a "problem": Because of daylight, sunlight that is reflected on the screen and consequently to smoke, it was necessary to transpose all the spectators media room that, despite its small size, has given shelter to all (I joking that some would have to sit on the shoulders of others, lol). Before any question, explain: I believe the film was scheduled to compulsorily morning because of Fernanda Beling that would travel immediately to SP in the evening to receive an award or promotion of a movie, can not remember for sure.

Before you start with the most comments about the 4th FAEPA, this wonderful event that gave me so much knowledge, a load of unclouded intellectual (college) and emotional (family) of heavy recent days, cultural refinement, connect with interesting people from outside (especially El Salvador), including artists, I present you the banner, self-explanatory (the theme this year was, as you can give, film, TV and video):
I'll try to be as succinct as possible, after all desire to write about the entire event and still have other things to do today (including academics). Highlight key points, and what most impressed me during this event which marked the second my opinion and many others, have stood for the city's cultural history.
Restarting from where I left off in the previous post. Afternoon activities took place in three workshops, nothing at all to me, since neither was the workshop for which I signed up. Neither went to college.
Night: exhibition of short films and discussion on the movie set of Paulo Afonso, the directions of audiovisual in our city (we have some guys who dares to produce short films, including managing a modest budget, but relatively significant). The trailer was shown a short film about the Bandit Cats, who spread terror in the region in the past - indeed, for those who do not know, Maria Bonita was in our town, her house is still standing, I think it saved as historic and cultural heritage - especially in the Raso da Catarina, will be released soon and was produced by NEC, the nucellus Experimental Film Paulo Afonso, garnering the support of sponsors, especially local businesses. Well, Paulo Afonso has a rich history and intriguing, which draws attention of all who get to study it, and impress tourists (well, we are not the "Energy Capital of the Northeast for nothing!). Too bad it did not find the movie trailer on YouTube , I believe that has not gone down there, maybe talk to Jackson (actor who plays the protagonist of the film's title) to use the site as a channel for dissemination, the next time you meet. my YouTube. Too bad I missed the debate because I leaked a "quick fix" to the lab. Computer, mea culpa. DAY 30/11/2009 This was the best of the three days of any event, no doubt. Both the studio screenplay for film, TV and video regarding the display of the Father , ending a nearly party in view of so many photos and tietagens (including mine) with guest stars of the film. The day was just perfect (never thought I could talk about something that one day my class, right? Be surprised because, once again, me!). Even said that I was loose as never before, and I replied that I have many facets, and touched every groupie that day. Too bad it did not get autographs, but Fernanda Beling the day before was worth a lot.
The screenwriting workshop lasted the morning and afternoon (it was the longest because of the greater charge of activities and preparation required, I believe). Our teacher was the screenwriter and producer Salvadoran Ana Paula Guedes, bearing the written curriculum series for TVE (including animations), videos and commercials in social well scripted as produced by it, etc.. Well, the classes were excellent and relaxed, and Hannah showed how far is far too experienced with scripts and with production videos. We study the creation of characters, differences between film and TV scripts and their proper structuring, plots and subplots, description of scenes, etc.. She even showed us sites and books on screenwriting. Behold my works in the workshop, which was already autodemonstram as our creative process.
Night: Simply "The" best moment of the whole event! After the screening Movie the Father (who also loved it, but I have some minor criticisms, of course, today or tomorrow even put a "little note" about the long
), began a round table with special guest actors in the cast. Four great actors of Teatro Olodum: Tania Toko (the bar owner, Neuzão), Luciana Souza (the hard-line evangelical Joan, the owner of the tenement), Edvan Carvalho (the Bahian shop owner, a whole mixed up, Lucy) and Lyu Arison (a transvestite Yolanda). It was great, including the first question directed at them was mine, about how the idea to record the show to the world (the little paper question, of course, or pher think I would have the courage to pick up a microphone? Without Mondays, please), which yielded critical Luciana explicit and implicit of the other actors concerned about the lack of social atmosphere and diluting the TV (which motivated the Globe indeed was the interest for different aesthetics of the film, keeping in mind that TV needs renovation, as well as significant attention to the box office film, obviously) and the ephemerality of fame and vanity alone, but rewarding when the result of an artistic work recognized and competent. And the speaker Claudia (who almost became a friend, soooo very intelligent and we made up a screenwriting workshop together in the afternoon shift) took his cue to criticize the stereotype of the mulatto and sexy slut who reinforced the television series, supported by actors who agreed with this aspect stereotyped more explicit and exploitative of sensuality / sexuality on TV, because of its higher IBOPE.
After the outcome of the round table and presentation of choral Earth Song (wended up a short chat with Luciana, who sat beside me to watch the coral, although in the left of the phatic function of language), took pictures left and right. And it was a catch-borrowed from friend's digital camera here, another over there, have my pictures of me scattered by some four or five cameras (two already I have, will post some still in their proper Orkut, and others send me e-mail). It is one of the consequences of being poor: to depend on others to take photos! Once I have some money left, urgency: buy a digital camera or mobile phone for at least a good resolution (I've had some financial opportunities to buy electronics / digital, the fact is who never gave a shit at this and would rather buy other items such as books, and is at times like these that I miss the said-whose). Tietagem general! Extroversion almost complete I won the day, despite any physical stress or conflict at home.
The next post will be on the last day, the lowest.

. Open space for a tour to (worse, after all who am I to emulate the master Machadinho?) Machado's style to talk about the play. The play in question is "The Library of Stolen Books" based on the homonymous work of Aristotle Lima Santana. Aristotle aka "Totinha" was my teacher of art history in the 3rd year of high school, but today we have a list of common fellowship, a "colezade," the second term I coined himself, without my obeisance before him - as would be customary in a relationship (ex-) teacher, (former) students. The tale of Aristotle is built by such statements of the stolen books, characters of the narrative (but surrealism stop there, because the hypocrisy and human afflictions fleshed out the books in his years of living with us strive for the realism). Some memories stand out for literally bookish wry humor, others for dryness and / or acidity of the arguments link the right stylistic clumsiness (or deliberate failure "but obviously there are some sentences that could be better stoned in this aspect), while works such as Mein Kampf (My Struggle
They barely worked, there was no conversation between the books, and even in the narration
-off was nothing more than a purely spoken narration , voices little more than meaningless, the same music for each book according to its theme (and even the soundtrack was so embarrassing, to put the track "The Doors of Perception of Huxley, for example, had absolutely nothing to do with the work, unless someone suggests disregard those intermittent wheezing in a rough tune and symbolically the raptures of inspiration caused by the drug, KKKK) and no sound effects simulating what was reckoned to have envisaged that the best scenes and events suggested by the narration , establishing a dialogue with us, the viewers, as it should be an authentic emulation of radio drama, for example. However, it was not all darkness, under the "Mein Kampf" Hitler's character in the book gave us an indication of the scene, created an expectation for us to hide her face (but only got the clue) number and yielded good moments of reflection has not changed since almost nothing in the original text.
PS: I had access
"exclusive" to the text of Aristotle before the play. He also cast the tale in its second anthology that might be released probably next year.
Returning to the Festival in UNEB, missed performances of dance, exhibition of short films and debates (before the play was not attend, hmpf! but it was good to compare the two languages, and purported literary tale theater, and to honor Nildo and Aristotle) . But I still won the day with photos I took with the speaker Claudia Vasconcelos (we fit in so well and liked so much of the talk that it might be heresy not to provide this memory) and indeed ask for more material her about the subject frontiersman x baianidade by e-mail, those interested can also contact me. And a picture, a nightcap, with the photographer
