I found this very nice text on the Internet. How ecochata assumed, I decided to post here, just to remember what most already know. Remember that your individual actions can not much, but combined with each other, become collective and great impact. Be sure to make only orque the neighbor does not:
Adoption of simple gestures help to save the world.
1. Prefer biodegradable detergents and cleaning products that do not harm the environment. Chlorine of bleach generates pollutants that harm the flora and fauna. Avoid aerosols with CFC gas responsible for the hole in the ozone layer.
2. Do not brush your teeth with the tap open. Spend up to 12 liters of water every time it makes oral hygiene without closing the tap. In the kitchen, dishwashing soap all before opening the tap to rinse.
3. Save paper. It is estimated that for every 100 pounds of recycled paper are spared sixty trees.
4. Baths that last fifteen minutes are ecologically incorrect: they spend on average 243 liters of water. The UN says that each person needs about 110 gallons of water per day to meet consumption needs and hygiene.
5. Batteries and lamps contain substances that can contaminate land and water from groundwater. Do not dispose of this material in the environment.
6. Take your own shopping bag to the supermarket. This decreases the consumption of plastic bags, reducing tambémo volume of waste produced.
7. Separate the trash recycling.
8. Only use the washing machine when it is full. With fewer parts and frequent washing, it takes more water and energy. Turning the machine day in, day out, the economy is 9 kWh per month in bills.
9. Do not buy or cook more food than they consume. The wet garbage (food scraps) must be separated from the dry (plastic, glass, cans, paper and metals).
10. The fridge and freezer can account for 30% of light. Avoid leaving the fridge door open long and do not store hot food.
